Arendell Road Closed to Through Traffic Beginning Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011

Chipley – Arendell Road from Miccosukee Road to Mahan Drive will be closed to through traffic starting Wednesday, Oct. 12, to accommodate water line installation associated with the Mahan Drive improvements. Local traffic will be routed north to Miccosukee Road. Access to Mahan Drive will be available from Edenfield Road and Thornton Road via Miccosukee Road. Signage will be in place to direct traffic through the detour. The closure will remain in effect for three weeks, weather permitting.

Additionally, beginning Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, westbound Mahan Drive traffic will be shifted to the right roadway. The shift will be in place from Walden Road west to Pedrick Road. Signage will be in place to assist motorists onto the new traffic pattern.

Excavation continues at the pond sites and the installation of landscaping materials is on schedule.
